I’m currently 63-29-6 for NBA picks thus far. I think that’s respectable but what do I know, This is the first time in my life that I’ve really focused on betting NBA games but I’m kind of digging it. I have no idea if the method I’m using for my picks will continue produce this level of success long term, but I’m keeping it until it doesn’t. Here’s 3 picks for tonight:
DAL -4 vs CHA (-150). The Mavericks are 18-7 ATS at home, 6-0-1 ATS in their last 7 games overall and 15-5-1 ATS in their last 21 against Eastern Conference opponents. The Hornets are 11-14 ATS on the road, 2-9 ATS in their last 11 road games against a team with a winning home record and 1-6 ATS in their last 7 Wednesday games. These guys hate Hump Day!
SAC +4.5 vs HOU (-150). The Kings are 19-7-1 ATS at home, 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games against Southwest Conference opponents and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game. The Rockets are 2-8 against the spread in their last 10 games, 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games on the road and 1-8 ATS in their last 9 games following a straight up win. I’m playing the percentages on this one and saying the Rockets aren’t hitting their mark tonight.
UTA -12.5 vs PHX (-150). The Jazz are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games against teams in the NBA Pacific, 12-3-1 ATS in their last 16 games after a straight up or ATS loss and 6-1 ATS in their last 7 Wednesday games. The Jazz love Hump Day! The Suns are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games, 1-5 ATS in their last 6 when their opponent allows 100 points or more in the previous game and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games after an ATS win, so the Suns won’t shine tonight.
We finally get Shaq and Chuck back in our lives and hopefully we get another “fight” between two teams so we can get this sort of reaction. Saw this yesterday and it’s perfect for throwback Thursday. Shaq and Chuck just laughing in the face of Chris Paul and others, classic.
The first of three picks will be with my favorite team to bet on right now, the Sacramento Kings. They travel to Charlotte for a little showdown in the Carolinas and the spread right now is Kings +3. Charlotte is coming off a massive win against the Spurs in Tony Parkers return to Texas. There hasn’t been many bright spots in the Hornets season but the win against the Spurs was awesome. Big drop off against the young guns from Sacramento and I think the Kings even get the win tonight. Hornets have always been just below being a good team but have been a player away. Jordon needs to sack up and start recruiting guys, or put a jersey on and give Kemba Walker a little help. Something to think about Mike.
The last two are both underdogs, one coming from college and one coming from the league of the pros. First, we go to Toronto after their back to back with the Celtics. I haven’t bet on the Suns basically at all, but tonight, we take the Suns +8.5. Toronto on a back to back without their big man might be a little too much, even for the Phoenix Suns. Last night was a primetime, emotional, close game wth the Celtics. Toronto still wins, but I think Phoenix makes it close. Celtics lost to Phoenix on a back to back at home, don’t be surprised if the young legs come ready to run with the Raptors. Last, my second college play (the other including two more NBA’s being featured on Bro Bro Bro Bets tonight @6) comes from Florida International University. They are taking on Western Kentucky in Kentucky but I still love FIU tonight. The spread is +11.5 and it screams “take the spread Connor,” so I’m gonna listen. FIU +11.5 at WKU and even though this half of picks has 2 underdogs, the 3 you’ll get from Gabagoool’s are perfect for tonight. Forgot about Knicks @ Wizards in London at 3 pm today but slam the Wizards. Enes Kanter can’t travel outside the US or he’ll get snagged by Turkish ninjas.
Recap: Wizards -8, FIU +11, Kings +3, Phoenix +8.5. Those are just half the picks for tonight, don’t forget the Wizards play at 3 pm today in London. Good luck to all, and check back in at 6 for the Bro Bro Bro Bets picks live from Gabagoool’s.
It’s always a good Monday when the Patriots handle little brother Philip Rivers and move on to the conference championship again. Pats @ Chiefs and even if it wasn’t ever fully set in stone, this seemed to be where all roads led to. With that being said, let’s get to the basketball that will be bounced tonight.
Speaking of big brother little brother, Celtics are heading to Brooklyn to take on the Nets tonight. Celtics are -4 at the Barclays Center and I love every point. It must be intimidating to look over and see two studs in Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum that should of been on their team. Too bad Danny Ainge cuckolded the Brooklyn Nets of their future by dishing Pierce and Garnett. The Nets have been surprisingly good this year, Jarret Allen being one of the guys that stands out the most as an up and coming big man in the NBA. That will take some time though, and the Celtics are great right now. Celtics -4 away and then the Raptors come to town Wednesday. Big game coming off the loss so look for the Celtics to pick it up tonight. If there are guys out, this spread will change but I’ll still take the C’s. Next, we have the man who goes harden the paint, yes, the Houston Rockets. Hard in, Harden, the pun is definitely there, don’t take that away from me. Seriously though, Grizzlies at Rockets and Houston is a six point favorite. I like Houston in games like this. Teams like the Grizzlies who have been good but aren’t completely there yet are teams James Harden and the boys eat for lunch. Jaren Jackson Jr. has been a massive under the radar stud for the Grizzlies in his rookie year but that’s not enough against the MVP.
The next team we’re taking tonight is the Utah Jazz -8. the Jazz have been getting in a rhythm as of late and have won their last 4 games in a row at home. Utah is a tough place to get wins in cause Mormons can scream and shout with some of the best. Donovan Mitchel has had a bit of a sophomore slump but a big part of growing up in the NBA is learning how to save your energy for the playoffs. When a team is only beating the Bulls by 8, you know they’re thinking about the late season push and not about the guy who bet them. Would be nice if they started considering people like us but I understand the winning aspect of it, I guess. Last, we have an over under coming to you from the West coast. My team from Sacramento, the Kings, are welcoming Dame Dolla and the Trail Blazers into town for a little Monday night basket show. I’m taking Blazers/Kings over 227 tonight and if there’s one thing you know, it’s how much I love those Sacramento overs. I do like the Kings -2.5 at home but I like the over here more because the Blazers could always steal one. If they do though, it’ll still have to be a points fest cause they’ll have to keep up with the Kings scoring attack. Points points points is the word in this one tonight and that’s what we’ll finish with to cap off the Monday.
Recap: Celtics -4, Kings/Blazers over 227, Houston -6, Jazz -8. In the college game we’ll rock with Indiana -2 and Maryland -3.5. Let’s get a good start to the week and make some money tonight.
Finally, Chuck and Shaq grace us with their presence on this wonderful Thursday in America. Celtics blew out the Pacers last night and I’ll probably be letting everyone and their mother know about it this weekend. First, lets get to the winners of the evening.
There are 4 NBA games tonight so we’ll touch them all like it’s baseball. Four bases in baseball, making sure we dot our i’s and cross our t’s. First, we travel to Miami where the Heat host the Celtics. Celtics are -1.5 right now but I expect that spread to increase by two or three points after last nights showing by the Celtics. The Celtics can sometimes go on these runs of dropping points galore so there may be another 130+ point game in the ole Celtics tonight. The Heat are a team who can sneak a game or two but I think the Celtics are realizing it’s time to pick it up and we saw that last night when they destroyed a solid Indiana team. The next game of the night is Clippers @ Nuggets. I like Nuggets -5 cause they are one of, if not, the hardest team to beat at home. Their rap sheet of teams beaten in Denver is crazy so I think they’ll be able to take care of business. If the spread goes to 4, think about taking the over 226. Clippers and Nuggets both can score at will and the last Clippers game was a 130+ point performance. We’ll see what the Doctor is cooking up for the Clippers but I’d trust Jokic and the Nugs to get the job done.
The next game is a possible playoff matchup in May between the Thunder and the Spurs. The game is in San Antonio and the spread is 1.5 in favor of the Thunder. This is probably the toughest game on the board, unsure which team will show up on both sides of the court. Thunder and the Spurs go through spurts of huge overs and huge unders. Out the gate, the money is on the under of 223 but for some reason I like the over tonight. A big man battle like Adams vs Aldridge calls for a plethora of points but see whether or not that line will increase, if it does go up, take the over but for now I’m taking Spurs +1.5. Last one of the night comes from California – Sacramento to be exact. The Pistons are on a back to back and the Kings are one of the best young units in the NBA. De’Aaron Fox has come on as an absolute stud and we’ll see how he holds up against Blake and the boys tonight. Betting on the Kings is one of my new favorite pastimes cause they used to be so pathetic and now it’s exhilarating to slam them. I’m gonna take the over 224 in this one and if Sacramento spread goes up to -6 then I’m hammering that as well.
For college basketball, I’m taking Cincinnati -6.5 and UCONN -2.5. Schools with a C seem to do well for me so let’s hope that trend stays true. Lost the Auburn/Ole Miss over last night by half a point and if I get another one of those tonight I’ll be taking a hiatus from the college game.
Recap: Celtics -2.5, Nuggets -5, Pistons/Kings over 224, Spurs +1.5, Cincinnati -6.5, UCONN -2.5. Those are the six basketball games we’re rocking tonight and we need it now more than ever. I wish everyone the utmost luck in unearthing your bookie’s bank account.
Our weekend ended up being a good old fashioned 50/50 split between the plethora of games we were taking. The only reason it ended up in the positive was because of a Golden Tate touchdown at odds of +500. My normal rule for the player prop tab is to close the browser once you open it. However, when you take one for every playoff game you better take a prop for the last one too cause even if you’re 1/4 on them for the weekend you still end up on in the green. Let’s get to tonight.
Now, I always take the Celtics no matter what, but tonight against the Brooklyn Nets is a little different. The Nets are god awful on back to back games and they went to war yesterday against the Chicago Bulls. Celtics at home -9.5 is a lot but this Boston team has been hitting their stride and it’ll continue with the Nets. To think we got Tatum and Brown with the picks the Nets gave us. Classic cuckold by Danny Ainge just swindling everyone in the Nets front office. We’ll run the Nets out of the gym with or without Kyrie. Look for a full fledged blowout tonight at the Garden which will probably mean under city if you don’t want to take the -9.5. A much better game tonight is Nuggets @ Rockets. I don’t think anyone is slowing down James Harden right now and normally I like the Nuggets but only when they’re playing in Mile High. This game is in Houston and after that big Golden State win, the Rockets will keep rolling on. Look for James Harden to come through big again for his team and if they are losing at half big (again), double down and live bet the Rockets ML. Payout is big and will be a reason to keep watching.
The next two games we’re staying in the Western Conference. The other night I took the Sacramento Kings against the Golden State Warriors. I pinched myself multiple times, but I wasn’t dreaming. Naturally I turned in figuring I threw away 20 bucks, but when I awoke to a Kings cover, I knew these boys were for real. Kings are at home against the Magic who are coming off a back to back as well. Kings -5.5 and I never thought in my life I would feel so great about a Sacramento Kings team. The future is bright for Marv and De’Aaron and by future I mean tonight as the Kings win by at least 6. Next we go to the opposite side of this spread, +5.5. The Utah Jazz are coming off a Detroit game where Donovan put on a show to will the Jazz to victory. Tonight, they got Giannis and the Bucks in Milwaukee. I haven’t been a huge Bucks guy thus far and that may bite me in the ass, but I like Utah as the dogs tonight. 5.5 is a lot of points for a very solid Jazz team and I think they put up a good fight. With Gobert in the middle, lets hope the big man can slow down Giannis in the paint. If he can, look for Joe Ingles to be dropping buckets in the corner on the offensive end.
The small game known as the National Championship is tonight and although I’m a huge proponent on bet on the better team, I’m taking Clemson tonight. Dexter Lawrence should be playing but weed will be weed. Trevor Lawrence is the guy who comes in slinging and cements himself as the best QB in division 1 football. With that being said, Bama could win by a field goal and make this a National Championship to remember. Clemson +5.5 is too much and even though I might switch my pick right before game time, 5.5 is just too much for me right now.
Recap: Celtics -9.5, Rockets -1.5, Kings -5.5, Jazz +5.5, Clemson +5.5 (as of right now). It’s a new week so forget about what the bookie took from us last week, let’s win it back. Good luck to all tonight and think about a Renfrew touchdown or over catches to start off with in the player props column.
There are games galore tonight, starting with the Hawks/Pistons at 4. I may dabble in that game to get the blood flowing for the Celtics later, but you’ll have to keep reading to find out.
I’m staying away from Hawks Pistons cause I’ve taken Detroit too many times when they’ve been absolute dog shit. That’s why I’m gonna stick with the boys from Indiana led by Lord Larry Bird, the Pacers. Pacers take on the Wizards and statistically, the Pacers are good at home. I don’t know the stats, but when you throw in ‘statistically’ it just sounds better. 9.5 is a lot of points but Oladipo is a defensive magician so I think he’ll shut down 1 of the 2 good players on the Wizards. The Wizards are on the brink of blowing up there team so hopefully this is the dagger in the coffin. Our favorite over team is playing in New Orleans tonight. That’s right, Sacramento at New Orleans and the over is at 236.5 right now. I LOVE this over. Points points points, hold on, more points. If I could buy this up to 250 I would but that type of swindling isn’t allowed in this imperfect world. 236.5 is the bet of the night in the NBA, no chance this bad boy stays under.
The last two might take some of you for a little spin. We’re taking the Celtics spread as a 5th bet but that’s only cause I’m going to the game tonight. The bet that I love in this game is the under. Celtics Hornets go at it but I think Brad’s going to be focusing on the defense after these home game monstrosities that we’ve been witnessing. Right now the under is at 217.5 and I think this game goes way under. I hate the way we’ve been playing but that’ll change tonight cause my father will be in the building. Not many teams circle the wagons behind Stephen Campbell the way the Celtics do. Last is a team I hate to bet against at home and a team I love to bet on always. Luka Doncic and Mark Cuban stroll into Portland and at least cover the spread. The Trail Blazers are notoriously good at home but right now they’re -8 and that’s just too much against the Mav’s. I like the Mavericks +8 in Portland tonight and I might be feeling a little frisky and take them ML too. Sunday’s are for football, but get yourself acclimated with the basketball game, lotta things to bet on from February to June.
Recap: Celtics/Hornets under 217.5, Pacers -9.5, Kings/Pelicans over 236.5, Mavericks +8. Those are the games for the day and don’t be surprised if I fuck around and take the Celtics -7. I’m not not going to take them while I’m strolling into the Garden a few Teddy Bruschi’s in.
Last night we were abysmal but I’m not even going to bring it up. If Lebron is getting stuffed like a Thanksgiving turkey to start a game off then immediately any bet is screwed. Hats off to Jarret Allen though, dude puts on for Team Phat Stax and I couldn’t appreciate that any more than I already do.
Talk about a humbling experience. This can only be attributed to one thing and one thing only – Carmelo Anthony.
Melo tweeted this very early in the morning today so that means when Lebron was getting blocked, Melo was probably talking to Magic Johnson. What a curse this guy brings and it gives me joy to think the Lakers might crash and burn cause Melo comes to the team. Hysterical that he has gone from being the face of the New York Knicks to being public enemy number one for any team that wants to be jinxed into the loss column. Doesn’t matter though cause Lebron’s now using the “I’m in my 30’s” excuse. What a bum.
This would be hilarious if Lebron was kidding but he said this in a 100% serious way. Take your L and shut up Lebron. I had to get all that off my chest and now I can give you my picks with a clear conscience. Celtics have the ole Phoenix Suns coming to town and we’re slamming the Celtics at home -11.5. The Suns just beat the Knicks for their 7th win of the season so the chances of a back to back are slim. 12 points is a lot but I like the Celtics after a couple days rest over the Suns who are terrible. Bet against bad teams and ride with the good teams. Which is why were rolling to the Philadelphia 76ers against the Knicks tonight. 76ers are -13 at home against the Knicks and the 76ers just lost. Embiid loves to do the post game talk shit with Instagram’s/Tweet’s so I expect a Kanter poster tonight. This game will be a full on blowout and the 76ers cover 13 easily.
Of the last two, only one worries me and that’s cause I’m going against my strategy. Tonight, we’re going to dance with the Bulls and hope for the best as they take on the Nets at home. Nets just beat Lebron and probably had a little bit of a night on their way to Chicago. Also, thanks to Tony Digs, I know the Nets are 1-6 on back to back games and the Bulls put on a show for their city tonight. Bulls +2 at home against the average Brooklyn Nets and I love this pick. Last, were going with what everyone in the world should have been doing for the past two weeks: betting on the Sacramento Kings over. Not to mention the Kings are welcoming the fast tempo Thunder to town tonight. Thunder @ Kings over 234 to cap off tonights bets. It’s an over 230 which I need a nicotine patch for cause I’m addicted to betting them but the Kings owner just compared their team to a young Thunder team so expect a show form both sides.
We’re getting into the college game so we’ll keep those picks coming too. Take them with a grain of salt, still learning the lay of the land here. Samford +23, Virginia -8.5, and Wofford +9.5. Wofford is going to be playoff team and this game against Mississippi state will prove it. They’ll keep it close, I hope.
All in all we’re taking Celtics -11.5, 76ers -13, Bulls +2, Thunder/Kings over 234, Samford +23, Virginia -8.5, Wofford +9.5. Let’s get it going tonight and get back in the win column. Good luck to all on the last hump day before Jesus’ birthday.
I don’t wanna hear about the Patriots. Right now, I’m not worried about the New England Patriots, I’m worried about what games you people are going to cash out in. My focus remains laser like and these games are a shoe-in to win you money.
It’s always a shame when the Celtics aren’t playing on Monday cause I really need a Boston victory to get the spirits up after whatever happened yesterday. Unfortunately, we don’t have Brad’s Boys to dominate a team today. Never fear cause all four of these picks will win us money and all will be right in the world. Today, we’ll start with the elusive over 230. I don’t know if the Kings have ever played in a game and not allowed 100 points. Actually, the Kings have given up at least 100 points in every game except for one since November 12th against the Spurs when they allowed 99 points. Naturally, we’re going to take Kings @ Twolves over 232. This is a great over game and if De’Aaron Fox and Karl Towns have a night then I’m sure we’ll hit this high over. The second over/under I’ll be taking is the Grizzlies @ Warriors which right now is at 210. Initially, I loved this under because anytime a Warriors game is set under 220, it’s almost like Vegas just knows they will have a little trouble. I wrote “under 210” in my notes, but as I go to say I’m taking the under of 210 in a Warriors game, I’ve flopped to the over. Grizzlies @ Warriors, over 210. The Warriors can put up 115 on their own and if the Grizzlies can’t get to 95 then the next over/under for a Warriors game that’s set at or below 215 will receive my mortgage on that bet.
One of the two spreads were taking tonight is the “bet against the Bulls” strategy. The Bulls have to go to Oklahoma City to play the Thunder who are ripping teams right now. The Thunder have a different feel to them this year. Steven Adams is gonna be an all star, Paul George is having a great year, and the biggest thing is they got rid of Carmelo Anthony. Not to mention, the Bulls are still one of the biggest circus acts in the NBA. Thunder at -12.5 is a big spread but not when you’re playing the Bulls at home. Bulls @ Thunder tonight and we’re taking the Thunder at -12.5. The last game is my most anticipated match up of the night. A lotta people would say this is a terrible game, but I think this equates to the Super Bowl for the number 1 pick, a conference championship to the very least. Suns @ Knicks in the early year toilet bowl that makes this Monday extra special. The combined record of these two teams is 15-46. This game is going to be an absolute showdown. Normally, in a game like this with one franchise being the team that plays in MSG, I’d go for the home court advantage. However, I like the Suns for some reason tonight so I’m taking them at +1 in New York City. Deandre Ayton and Devin Booker help get the victory in New York and I still believe the future is bright in Sun country. Unlike this lady, who seems to be all in on ridding the world of Suns owner Robert Sarver.
Would not want to be whoever ‘Ed’ is cause he’s receiving a mean stare from Ms. Greta Rogers. Can’t say I blame her, would suck to have top 3 picks every year and not see a lick of improvement. Come be a Celtics fan Greta, we aren’t very bad and when we are its usually a short period of time.
Recap: Kings/Twolves over 232, Grizzlies/Warriors over 210, Thunder -12.5, and Suns +1. Let’s do better than .500 tonight and .250 would be better cause then you people in fade season would go 3-1. Bet with me, bet against me, lets just hope we all end up with cash (impossible). Good luck in starting your betting week off right.
I’ve been red hot, and when I say red hot, we know I mean ice cold. Let’s keep it going for the sake of the people’s money.
First an foremost, I hope all of these don’t hit, but I will say I’m not against winning a bet before 2018 is over. The Celtics are hitting their stride and I figured I would get this one out of the way because of course I’m taking Celtics -7.5 at home against the Pelicans. We have big men that play defense and if you stop AD then the Pelicans really aren’t that good. Second pick will really judge whether fade season is still thriving. Kings -2.5 against a Bulls team that has won only 6 games. Call me crazy, but if the Bulls win cause I bet on the Kings then I will have a very difficult time deciding whether to laugh or cry. Chicago is 6-21, lets hope the Kings don’t act like the Kings we’ve all known for the last 10 years, unless you fade me then lets go Bulls.
As of right now, there are no over/under’s that are above 230. With that being said, Minnesota @ Golden State is at 229 and I think it will go up as the day goes on. We’re going to take that over and hope KAT doesn’t play like Jimmy Butler says he does, soft. Due to no over/under’s being above 230, we are going to go with the elusive under. I hate betting under’s but were looking to stay hot (cold) so we might as well take one. Grizzlies @ Nuggets over under is at 198.5 and since it’s that low right now I think its going way under. Nuggets score a lot of points, so when an over under is set that low for a home game, my mind screams under under under.
At the end of the day, this is a win win situation for us all. When I say for us all, I obviously am not included in ‘all’ or ‘us’. Celtics -7.5, Kings -2.5, Timberwolves/Golden State over 229 and Nuggets/Grizzlies under 198.5 – good luck to everyone in their gambling quest tonight.
Also like the Vikings tonight just so everyone is aware.
