Before we get into today’s picks I’d like to warn you that I am 7-1 in my last 8 NFL picks so I am due for a horrible day. I just wanted to put that disclaimer in for today’s picks. But without further ado, here they are.
- Vikings -7.5 vs Dolphins; O/U 45
This is my most confident pick of the day. Dolphins are poised for a huge letdown game coming off last weeks Miami Miracle. Not to mention that the Dolphins have been horrendous on the road this year being 1-5 straight up and 2-4 ATS. On the other hand the Vikings are still in good position for the NFC wild card and they are 4-2 ATS at home. I expect the Vikings D to have their way with the Dolphins while Cousins, Thielen, and Diggs get right against a poor Dolphins secondary. You also don’t have to worry about Cousins blowing it because it’s just a casual 1 o’clock game against the Dolphins and not primetime. Buy that 1/2 point just incase, Vikings -7
2. Colts -3 vs Cowboys; O/U 46.5
This is one that I am not as confident in but have a feeling it’s going to be a great game so it’s one I have to play. The Cowboys have not been great away from Jerry world this year while the Colts have been very solid at home. I am going to go with the Colts for a few reasons. One being that the Colts O-Line has been great at protecting Luck the 2nd half of this season and that is the Cowboys main strength. If the Colts o-line can protect Luck then the Cowboys D is not the same. Secondly is coaching, The Colts coaches are very familiar with the Cowboys. Frank Reich has been calling plays against the Cowboys the last couple seasons while Colts DC Matt Eberflus was with the Cowboys the last 6 seasons. Give me the Colts -3
3. Bills -2.5 vs Lions; O/U 39.5
Im rolling with the Lions this week for the same reason I rolled with the Jets last week in the same spot. The Bills should not be favorites. They just don’t have the talent to be favorites. The Lions are not good but they are better than the Bills. Buy a 1/2 point and get the Lions at that crucial +3 number.
4. Giants +1.5 vs Titans; O/U 43
The Giants have been much approved of the last Quarter of the season but that does not mean I am going to take them here. The Titans have on occasion been prone to shitting the bed but I actually think they matchup well against the Giants. With Beckham out the Giants only real weapon is Saquon Barkley and the Titans D is good enough to be able to stop one player. Also the Titans have the motivation edge trying to get that last AFC Wild Card spot. Ill take the Titans -1.5
