The Parade

For the second time in about 100 days, the duck boats rolled around Boston with everyone and their mother out on the street. This was the second parade I have ever missed in my life so I need this recap more than you do.

This photo is incredible. 1.5 million people at a parade and I don’t know if I’ve ever been more jealous of 1.5 million people. Parades are always a spectacle to be apart of, but the ones with the Patriots are always a little more sweeter. Brady, Belichick, the whole NFL watching on from their own city, there aren’t many better feelings. Some wake up a little more black and blue than others.

A lot of people are talking about this fight but, these are just a couple rival towns from Massachusetts hashing it out at the parade. Some people got injured I’m sure, but that’s going to happen when you’re trying to prove you’re still here. Best part of this parade was Philly fans all over the place talking about how their parade was better the year before. Fellas, this is our 6th one now, if you don’t have a few fights at some point, do towns even still hate each other? I’m just glad nobody got stabbed, that’s typically a St. Paddy’s Day debacle but you never know what someones going to do when two guys are arguing about who loves Brady more. Plus, this one fight wasn’t the only thing that happened yesterday.

I mean, come on. Patriots fans left the parade to run over and help this ambulance get up the hill? That’s a real team effort if I’ve ever seen one. Now everyone knows that the one fight that went down at the parade wasn’t the only thing worth talking about. Not to mention McCourty and Harmon putting Lane Johnson into a coffin.

I mean, this is why you don’t bash the Patriots at a parade cause the sad reality is the Pats will be back to the Super Bowl far before you, Lane Johnson. Duran Harmon is also wearing Tom Brady’s jersey from high school. Not sure if it’s a replica or the real one, but he crushed yesterday. I wish I could of been there, but the only thing that matters is we got number 6. Can’t wait to chase 7 next year.

The Patriots Won The Super Bowl, Obviously

On Sunday, Bill Belichick, Tom Brady, and the New England Patriots ripped the hearts out of every football fan that woke up Monday feeling like it was a normal day. I currently type with six rings that glow with the light of a thousand suns. Where do we begin.

THE W.

A post shared by Tom Brady (@tombrady) on

Gotta start with this. Rob Gronk is back next year and I don’t know if the Patriots have ever had this type of team camaraderie. Everyone is so all in on building Brady’s legacy that nobody can retire until he does. How is Gronk at 29 gonna leave Brady out to dry when he’s 41? That’s right, he’s not going to. With that being said, it wasn’t the greatest offensive performance for either team which made the game pretty slow for anyone watching at home. Every play in that stadium was edge of your seat action and watching Bill’s defense fly around and shut down Sean McVay’s offense was all I could have asked for. The place erupted, or at least felt as though it did when Kyle Van Noy got to Goff in the second quarter on third down.

Also, love this flipper against Reynolds in the first. Felt like we dominated the game physically and that was something the defense really stepped up at the end of the season. We started running the rock and playing hard nosed defense and we kept McVay of the end zone.

That’s why all this MVP talk is bologna. If anyone on the defensive side of the ball deserved the MVP it would be Belichick. The guy pitched a perfect game and even though Goff should of hit Cooks for a touchdown, he didn’t. Goff looked like he was crapping himself before the Saints game so I can imagine there were a few times he looked like a deer in headlights Sunday night. I couldn’t quite see him on the sideline Sunday from my seats but on the field he didn’t look great.

The real MVP or MVP’s from this game was the  Patriots offensive line. I know some people that specifically bet on the Rams because they had Aaron Donald. Those people, first, are idiots, and second don’t respect the greatness that is Dante Scarnecchia, the Patriots offensive line coach. Not to mention Trent Brown makes Aaron Donald look like a pee wee football player.

I understand this game will be talked about as the worst Super Bowl ever. Which is why I’ll always remember it as the best Super Bowl ever. We got to 6 and now everyone should know Brady won’t sleep till we have 7. It’s going to be a fantastic offseason even though it is devastating football is now over. To those who thought we weren’t going to win the Super Bowl, I pity you. Not because you were wrong, but because you had to watch your worst nightmare slowly come true. Another Patriots Super Bowl and another offseason of listening to Patriots fans. I will carry these six rings for a long time, jingling around in my pocket or hanging from a necklace. Congratulations to all, and to the NFL, goodnight.

10 More Props To Think About

Tony Digs kicked off the prop talk with a blog on Monday and I’m here to throw a few more in your face as we inch closer to Sunday. Before you quit out of the browser cause you think all my props are about Brady, know I got a few more up my sleeve than just a Tom touchdown.

Brady TD in the Third Quarter – Yes +115

Lets get this out of the way. These Super Bowls can sometimes start a little awkwardly for the Patriots. With that being said, if they win the toss they’ll differ but if the Rams get the ball in the second half and score, Brady will answer right away. Might be the biggest lock of a prop I have on the board.

Sony Michel 1st Half TD +175

Michel to score the first touchdown is another prop I thought about but I like this one of him scoring in the first half. If we get the ball down inside the 5, we’ll give the ball to Sony at least twice and with the way our offensive line is pushing people around, I like the chance we score.

James White First half TD +275

Pairing the Michel prop with this prop is the smart move cause there is a chance they both score. If the ball is outside the 5 and we’re in the red zone, James White is in the game with the run pass threat. As everyone knows, Brady throws it to the back A LOT in the Super Bowl.

Philip Dorsett Touchdown +215

Philip Dorsett has had a touchdown in both of our playoff games this year. He’ll likely have a closer eye on him but in the red zone all eyes are on Gronk and Edelman.

Brandin Cooks under 5.5 catches -140

Tony also had this prop on his list so if you haven’t bet it yet, take it now. The Patriots will not let Cooks beat them. Gilmore is the best corner in the NFL this year and there’s no way he gets 6 catches.

Contrary to popular belief, this sucked

Gerald Everett over 23.5 yards -115

Gerald Everett is a guy that will have to make plays if the Rams have any chance. I think he can get 23 yards in a catch so I like this over. Everett is the Rams Dorsett so a TD might be something to think about.

Largest Lead in The Game Under 14.5 points  +100

If a team is leading by 14, I think both the Patriots and the Rams will do whatever it takes to score a touchdown. Neither coach is going to want to get down big and I expect this to be close to the end.

Longest Field Goal Over 47.5 yards -105

With Gostowski and Zuerlein being the two kickers, both are proven studs from deep. I think if there’s a field goal in the 47-55 range, it will be taken by either kicker, especially with the game being indoors.

Roughing the Passer Penalty +155

At some point I think one of these is called. I might be completely wrong, especially after the controversy in the AFC game, but I’m not not going to take this bet with Suh on the field.

Overtime +675

This game has the makings for an overtime thriller. That, and we all get free wings thanks to BWW’s and Pat for a hell of a deal. Pats win in overtime is the ideal situation. Pats win in regulation, also not a terrible situation.

The Super Bowl is the Super Bowl of gambling (Trademark) so good luck picking the right props. Tony’s got mostly winners, I got mostly losers so we’ll meet in the middle.

TNT Tuesday

The TNT games tonight are a couple of doozies. First, we get the talked about Pelicans going to take on the Rockets. Then, we go to LA where the Lakers welcome Embiid and the boys to town. There is money to be made in these games so let’s get to it.

Pelicans @ Rockets is the first game on TNT and I don’t know exactly what to think. Always tough when your best player asks to be traded but sometimes teams can react differently to that type of noise. Holiday may say “Hey AD, look at me, I can score. Maybe we recruit someone here?” AD still says nah I’m good, but the idea of points galore tonight is there. For that reason, I’m taking the over in this game even though its set at 234. CP3 still needs to get his rhythm back but thats gonna happen tonight when the Rockets go for 140 and the win. It’s always nice getting an over 230 game to match with a TNT Tuesday. For the Sixers/Lakers matchup, there are a few things to take a peak at. When I say a few things, I mean one, and his name is Joel Embiid. He’s the best big man in the NBA bar none and there’s nobody on the Lakers that can stop him. That, on top of Ben Simmons and no Lebron James, is the reason Sixers -6.5 is a lock tonight. Sixers will handle the Lakers and soon the team will be blown up as they make a move for AD. Mark my words, if he’s not traded by the deadline it’s cause the Pelicans want our 3 first round picks, Terry, Smart, and maybe Brown. Who knows, I’d throw Hayward in too if they would take him.

For the college game, we’re going to ride with the hot team and by that I mean the #1 team in the country, Tennessee. The Vols go to South Carolina to take on the gamecocks in a little Tuesday night college duel. The SEC has had a great year for basketball and that will continue for Tennessee against a mediocre SC team. The Vols are -8.5 and they’ll continue on as the best team in the country, for now.

Recap: Pelicans/Rockets over 234, Sixers -6.5, Tennessee -8.5. Those are the three games that I like tonight so let’s hope we got some winners. There may be more picks coming later so keep an eye out.

NBA Monday In America

Have I been cold as of late? Absolutely. Is there rain before rainbows? Every time my friend. We’ll get some NBA and some college but more than anything we’ll get some world class winners. Let’s dive into Super Bowl Week with these games tonight.

Tonight, there’s a few games to chose from but we’re going with the age old strategy of betting with the best teams. Look, there’s no need to overthink things in the wishy washy NBA. We’re almost half way through the season and by now the teams who are on the bottom tier should all be thinking Zion Zion Zion. With that being said, the Warriors are heading to Indiana and without Victor Oladipo, the hope in the Pacers season is dwindling. Warriors are coming off a big win against the Celtics and had a nice day to rest yesterday. I’m taking the Warriors -8.5 and I assume this line will go up as the day goes on. Warriors are rolling and that continues tonight with a wounded Pacers team. Speaking of wounded teams, the Memphis Grizzlies are crumbling from the heart and Gasol/Conley are both up for grabs. When your team is shopping the two best players they have, things could be better. For Denver, they’ve become a serious contender and with Isaiah Thomas coming back after the all star break, they could be a force. I don’t think they’ll beat the Warriors, but they will definitely beat the Grizzlies tonight by 7. Nuggets are -6 and will continue to roll tonight against a team that doesn’t know where it’s going.

The college game can be very unforgiving. There has been bad beat after bad beat this year in the college game but we’re going to reverse that curse tonight. The only team that would be able to do it, aside from my Oregon Ducks of course, is the team that has frogs with horns. That’s right, the TCU Horned Frogs take on the Texas Tech Red Raiders tonight in Texas. TCU is +4.5 and are 4-1 in their last 5 ATS. I’m not a stats guy, but if I was, that stat would for sure convince me to take TCU. Texas Tech screwed me last time I took them so now it’s time for some revenge, frog revenge that is. TCU +4.5 tonight at Texas Tech and look for a big conference win for the Frogs tonight.

Recap: Warriors -8.5, Nuggets -6, TCU +4.5. Those are the three basketball games to take for tonight and if you don’t like any of them then the TCU under seems to be a smart play. Good luck to all and lets get those account balances in the green.

Bro Bro Bro Bets 1/25/19

Good day to all and to all a good day. We’ve got winners across the board and your bookie is going to need extra provolone for his salami sandwich cause we’re going to rob him blind. We’re dying for a little food, so let’s serve some apps.

Appetizers

DigsHouston +2 – You’re going to make the beard a home dawg? Tony’s jumping on that like the first slice of pizza he’ll jump on after the weight loss challenge.

Connor – Denver -15 – The Phoenix Suns are coming off a back to back and the Nuggets are one of the best home teams in the NBA this year. I like them more than I like the lasagna I had for dinner last night.

GormsMilwaukee -11 – Sticking to his guns, the Greek Freak is fast and he shoots.

Entré

DigsWizards +3.5 – In what world does Orlando deserve to be this big of a favorite? Tony Digs asks and nobody can give an answer.

Connor – Michigan -4 – Michigan off a loss is going to be a team on a mission. Same way I’m on a mission to find the greatest chicken parmesan sub in Indianapolis.

Gorms – Brooklyn -10 – Gorman is all over D’Angelo Russell and thinks he’ll be hitting all night. Plus, he shoots and he’s fast, fast.

Dessert

Digs – Denver -15 – Suns stink, Nuggets are good. That’s all that needs to be said for Tony.

Connor – Jazz -10 – Minnesota is coming off a back to back and Rudy Gobert will give Karl Anthony Towns the business all night. Love the Jazz just like I love my dessert.

Gorms – Jazz -10 – Joe Ingles can shoot, but he isn’t fast. Gorman isn’t worried either way.

Those are the picks for tonight, go tell your bookie to back up the dump trucks cause he’ll need to with these winners on the board.

Digs, Connor, Gorms

Wild Wednesday

Wild Wednesday means wild picks after wild picks. You may see a few teams on here that you don’t normally, but the rest of the picks will come @ 6pm from Bro Bro Bro Bets. I’m feeling extra wild so lets dive right in.

First, because it’s such a wild Wednesday, I’m going to do something I’ve never done before. We’re going to take the Cleveland Cavaliers against everyone’s favorite team, the Boston Celtics. Look, it’s wild Wednesday and I know this pick is as wild as you can get, but the Celtics beating the Cavs by 20 tonight just doesn’t sound right. Cavs are +16.5 right now and it opened at 17.5. Depending on how low this spread drops, a last second Celtics ML bet may be the move. However, it’s wild Wednesday so if anything, a last second Cavs ML might be the play. We’ll see the level of wild we’re at come game time, but it might happen. Suns beat the Celtics at home so anything is possible. Next, we’re going to bet against one of the hottest teams in basketball, the 76ers. The Spurs are a team that’s been good but nothing special. They travel to Philly and are 4 point dogs, which opened at 2. Spurs +4 in Philly cause although few men can hang with Embiid, Aldridge is one of them. Also, Popovich will have some sort of plan ready to shut Ben Simmons down. Spurs +4 in Philadelphia tonight and if you don’t like either team then just take the over.

There’s nothing that ruffles my feathers like betting on a big spread and having that be the upset of the night (Buffalo). That’s why wild Wednesday is my favorite day of the week for gambling. Because of the detrimental loss with Buffalo, I’m going to a true underdog, George Mason. George Mason +8 against the Dayton Flyers tonight is what will reverse the curse from Buffalo. Some cinderella’s are still riding that high of making it to the final four and I’m not positive GMU is one of those schools, but I’m positive they cover. George Mason +8 against the Flyers and I’ll probably take them ML as we get closer. (I always pull the trigger if the odds are up there.)

Recap: Cavs +16.5, Spurs +4, George Mason +8. The rest of the picks will come tonight @6 from Bro Bro Bro Bets. Let’s get hot on this wild Wednesday and ride these picks into a Thursday slate of winners. Good luck to all and let’s have a wild Wednesday.

NBA Tuesday In North America

We are in North America, specifically, the United States of America. Today, I got two college games and one NBA game to go with the picks live from Gabagoool’s. Only 4 NBA games tonight so lets go for the clean sweep and rob a bookie or two.

The first game we got is Portland @ OKC and it opens up at Thunder -5.5. Both these teams played yesterday but Portland had to battle the Jazz in Utah. Sometimes these back to backs can lead to no defense and other times it can lead to missed shots. After the Thunder put on a clinic at the Garden, I’m thinking Thunder -5.5 here. This spread will probably go up to 6 or even 7, but Portland with a tough game against Utah to be coupled with a tough game against the Thunder is too much in a two day stretch. Thunder -5.5 with a possible last second bet on the under. The other NBA we got is T-Wolves @ Suns. The spread starts at T-Wolves -6 and for some great reason I’m all over the Suns today. Karl Anthony-Towns has never been the same person since Jimmy Butler. Flip Saunder’s kid being the coach for Minnesota is awesome, but the Suns are known to steal a few games and tonight I think they get this one against Minnesota. Ayton is out so expect Devin Booker to shoot the ball fifty times tonight. He better, or I’m going to be livid when the Suns lose by 15 cause Booker only shot the ball 10 times.

Last game I’m taking is Texas Tech @ Kansas State. Right now, I’m liking the Kansas State Wildcats at -1 in Texas. Texas Tech has dropped two games in a row and KSU has been rolling as of late. Big conference game right here and I like the home court advantage to get the job done over the Red Raiders. Hopefully Bill Snyder is in the building tonight and if he is then the Wildcats will roll.

Recap: OKC -5.5, Suns +5.5, and Kansas State -1. Three more picks live from Gabagoool’s coming tonight @6 and those are all certified, guaranteed, winners. Good luck to all gambling tonight, let’s make some money.

Shaq And Chuck Thursdays

We finally get Shaq and Chuck back in our lives and hopefully we get another “fight” between two teams so we can get this sort of reaction. Saw this yesterday and it’s perfect for throwback Thursday. Shaq and Chuck just laughing in the face of Chris Paul and others, classic.

The first of three picks will be with my favorite team to bet on right now, the Sacramento Kings. They travel to Charlotte for a little showdown in the Carolinas and the spread right now is Kings +3. Charlotte is coming off a massive win against the Spurs in Tony Parkers return to Texas. There hasn’t been many bright spots in the Hornets season but the win against the Spurs was awesome. Big drop off against the young guns from Sacramento and I think the Kings even get the win tonight. Hornets have always been just below being a good team but have been a player away. Jordon needs to sack up and start recruiting guys, or put a jersey on and give Kemba Walker a little help. Something to think about Mike.

The last two are both underdogs, one coming from college and one coming from the league of the pros. First, we go to Toronto after their back to back with the Celtics. I haven’t bet on the Suns basically at all, but tonight, we take the Suns +8.5. Toronto on a back to back without their big man might be a little too much, even for the Phoenix Suns. Last night was a primetime, emotional, close game wth the Celtics. Toronto still wins, but I think Phoenix makes it close. Celtics lost to Phoenix on a back to back at home, don’t be surprised if the young legs come ready to run with the Raptors. Last, my second college play (the other including two more NBA’s being featured on Bro Bro Bro Bets tonight @6) comes from Florida International University. They are taking on Western Kentucky in Kentucky but I still love FIU tonight. The spread is +11.5 and it screams “take the spread Connor,” so I’m gonna listen. FIU +11.5 at WKU and even though this half of picks has 2 underdogs, the 3 you’ll get from Gabagoool’s are perfect for tonight. Forgot about Knicks @ Wizards in London at 3 pm today but slam the Wizards. Enes Kanter can’t travel outside the US or he’ll get snagged by Turkish ninjas.

Recap: Wizards -8, FIU +11, Kings +3, Phoenix +8.5. Those are just half the picks for tonight, don’t forget the Wizards play at 3 pm today in London. Good luck to all, and check back in at 6 for the Bro Bro Bro Bets picks live from Gabagoool’s.

NBA Wednesday In America

The NBA report is back but going forward, the best picks will be on the Bro Bro Bro Bets show, posted on this site most days around 6 pm. It’s a little late, but you’ll still have an hour to throw in those bets. 7-1-1 between Bro Bro Bro Bets last night and we’ll do our best to keep the bets rolling. I got a few picks to go with the ones you’ll find on Bro Bro Bro tonight.

For starters, of course, I’ll be taking the Celtics -1.5 as we welcome the Raptors to town tonight. I’ve never thought there would be this type of hostility that’s been thrown around the Celtics locker room, but it’s probably more media propaganda than anything. There have been whispers about Dennis Smith Jr. being shopped for a point guard. Even though there isn’t one player I want to give up, Rozier for DSJ wouldn’t be the worst move for a Celtics team that has been a little off all year. I think it’s a terrible fit and the last thing we need is another great young guy we’ll have to pay but you’re an ass if you don’t imagine whatever players being shopped around the league landing on your own team. Don’t even get me started on Porzingis. Celtics -1.5 and this line will probably go up, Boston’s a tough place to play.

The next two picks that I’ll be taking (aside from the 3 that will be featured tonight on Bro Bro Bro Bets) are two dogs away from home. First, will be the Pelicans at +7 going into Golden State. Golden State is coming off an All Star Game performance, dropping 150 on the Nuggets in Denver. That sort of drop off from the Mile High city to the Bay Area is massive. That’s why I like the Pelicans +7 in Golden State tonight. Curry and KD probably housed a bottle of wine on the plane ride back while Tony Davis and the Pelicans were already in getting prepared for the Warriors. Take the +7 even if it is against Golden State but be careful of the over, 241 screwed me when the Pelicans played the Clippers. Which leads me to the Clippers hosting the Jazz tonight. The Jazz and Clippers both fascinate me cause I fee like Jazz should be better and the Clippers should be worse. With that being said, I’m going to last second switch from Jazz +1 to the over 224.5. It feels like the Clippers have gone over every home game except for when they played the Pelicans Monday. You could say that I’m discouraged but then you would be a liar. No discouragement. We march blindly into the gambling abyss everyday no matter what.

Me going to take every over 240 seconds before tip off

Recap: Celtics -1.5, Jazz/Clippers over 224.5, Pelicans +7. I like all three of these but I LOVE the picks that are given from Gabagoools tonight. Gorms, Digs, and myself have 9 more games to win money on. Good luck and check back in with Bro Bro Bro Bets right here at 6 for the rest of the bets on this hump day in January.
