On today’s show, Pat and the guys are locked in on the start of March Madness and chat about who they think is going to make some noise in the tournament, which spawns a conversations about the greatness of Zion Williamson, and whether or not he is the next LeBron. Also, one of the most electric guys around, sports handicapper, inspiration for the film “Two for the Money,” and friend of the show, Brandon Lang, calls into the show to talk March Madness and give the guys a few sure fire locks as well as some other plays for deeper in the tournament, and tells some hilarious stories. If you’re looking for free money, look no further (3:17-30:02). Also joining the show are two of the most accomplished entertainers in the history of sports entertainment. Holders of various titles, icons of the sport, The Hardy Boyz (Matt and Jeff Hardy) join the guys in studio to chat about their illustrious careers, what has changed in the wrestling business over the years, whether or not either one has any fear doing the insane stunts that they’ve pulled for years, what they still want to do in their careers before it’s all said and done, who some of the wrestlers that helped them early in their careers were, and they each share some hilarious stories about their different concepts along the way and take a look back to their early days when they were wrestling in their backyard and appearing on RAW at the ages of 16 and 18, respectively. It’s an incredible conversation with two incredible humans (50:01-1:21:39). Today is a really fun one. Come and laugh with us, cheers.
It was only a matter of time before this was going to happen. The Pelicans are trash and haven’t done much in the way of trying to help Anthony Davis. They grabbed Demarcus Cousins for a year, that obviously didn’t work, now they’re staring down the barrel of losing the cornerstone of the franchise one way or another.
Now the question becomes, who will go after Big Tony Davis? The Lakers will be big time suitors after letting teams know that basically everyone sans LeBron will be available as a trade asset. If Davis were to get traded to the Lakers, you’d have to imagine that at least 2 of Kyle Kuzma, Brandon Ingram, and Lonzo Ball will be on their way out of town. Boston seems to a potential destination as well, but they wouldn’t be able to trade for Davis until July 1st because league rules stipulate that the Celtics can’t have Kyrie Irving and Anthony Davis’ contracts under the designated rookie exception (allows players coming off their rookie-scale deals earn up to 30 percent of the team’s salary cap rather than 25 percent).
Teams like the Suns also have a ridiculous amount of trade capital and could be in on the Davis sweepstakes. He just wants to go somewhere that will give him ample opportunities to win championships. And that sure as shit isn’t happening anytime soon in Phoenix, so it’ll be interesting to see how this all plays out.
Just go to LA, Tony. City of Stars, LeBron
taking you under his wing showing you love until he starts passive aggressively hammering you to the media. You want a bigger commercial presence? Go to LA. You want to potentially have a starring role in the next Transformers movie or one of LeBron’s many game shows/sitcoms/series he has in production? Go to LA. When he’s eligible to sign an extension, he’s going to have more money that God, and I think LA would be an exceptional place to spend said money. Either that or he can okay a trade to somewhere like Sacramento, be miserable until he’s eligible to sign a fat extension, and then he can take his talents wherever his heart desires. It’s a tricky situation, but when $240 million is on the other side of that mountain, just do what you gotta do to survive.
He may still be a little injury prone (he’s currently out with a volar plate avulsion fracture in his left index finger whatever the fuck that means), but he’s worth every penny he’s going to potentially earn. If Luke Walton wants to save his job– and he needs to with the heat already being applied by “LeBron’s Camp”–
Then he needs to make his way up to Magic Johnson and Rob Pelinka’s offices and tell them he’s willing to do anything to land Tony Davis. He does that, and who knows, maybe the Lakers find themselves in position to make a run at another championship this year. I doubt it, but it’s possible. It’s time, Luke. Shoot your shot.
Wild Wednesday means wild picks after wild picks. You may see a few teams on here that you don’t normally, but the rest of the picks will come @ 6pm from Bro Bro Bro Bets. I’m feeling extra wild so lets dive right in.
First, because it’s such a wild Wednesday, I’m going to do something I’ve never done before. We’re going to take the Cleveland Cavaliers against everyone’s favorite team, the Boston Celtics. Look, it’s wild Wednesday and I know this pick is as wild as you can get, but the Celtics beating the Cavs by 20 tonight just doesn’t sound right. Cavs are +16.5 right now and it opened at 17.5. Depending on how low this spread drops, a last second Celtics ML bet may be the move. However, it’s wild Wednesday so if anything, a last second Cavs ML might be the play. We’ll see the level of wild we’re at come game time, but it might happen. Suns beat the Celtics at home so anything is possible. Next, we’re going to bet against one of the hottest teams in basketball, the 76ers. The Spurs are a team that’s been good but nothing special. They travel to Philly and are 4 point dogs, which opened at 2. Spurs +4 in Philly cause although few men can hang with Embiid, Aldridge is one of them. Also, Popovich will have some sort of plan ready to shut Ben Simmons down. Spurs +4 in Philadelphia tonight and if you don’t like either team then just take the over.
There’s nothing that ruffles my feathers like betting on a big spread and having that be the upset of the night (Buffalo). That’s why wild Wednesday is my favorite day of the week for gambling. Because of the detrimental loss with Buffalo, I’m going to a true underdog, George Mason. George Mason +8 against the Dayton Flyers tonight is what will reverse the curse from Buffalo. Some cinderella’s are still riding that high of making it to the final four and I’m not positive GMU is one of those schools, but I’m positive they cover. George Mason +8 against the Flyers and I’ll probably take them ML as we get closer. (I always pull the trigger if the odds are up there.)
Recap: Cavs +16.5, Spurs +4, George Mason +8. The rest of the picks will come tonight @6 from Bro Bro Bro Bets. Let’s get hot on this wild Wednesday and ride these picks into a Thursday slate of winners. Good luck to all and let’s have a wild Wednesday.
We are in North America, specifically, the United States of America. Today, I got two college games and one NBA game to go with the picks live from Gabagoool’s. Only 4 NBA games tonight so lets go for the clean sweep and rob a bookie or two.
The first game we got is Portland @ OKC and it opens up at Thunder -5.5. Both these teams played yesterday but Portland had to battle the Jazz in Utah. Sometimes these back to backs can lead to no defense and other times it can lead to missed shots. After the Thunder put on a clinic at the Garden, I’m thinking Thunder -5.5 here. This spread will probably go up to 6 or even 7, but Portland with a tough game against Utah to be coupled with a tough game against the Thunder is too much in a two day stretch. Thunder -5.5 with a possible last second bet on the under. The other NBA we got is T-Wolves @ Suns. The spread starts at T-Wolves -6 and for some great reason I’m all over the Suns today. Karl Anthony-Towns has never been the same person since Jimmy Butler. Flip Saunder’s kid being the coach for Minnesota is awesome, but the Suns are known to steal a few games and tonight I think they get this one against Minnesota. Ayton is out so expect Devin Booker to shoot the ball fifty times tonight. He better, or I’m going to be livid when the Suns lose by 15 cause Booker only shot the ball 10 times.
Last game I’m taking is Texas Tech @ Kansas State. Right now, I’m liking the Kansas State Wildcats at -1 in Texas. Texas Tech has dropped two games in a row and KSU has been rolling as of late. Big conference game right here and I like the home court advantage to get the job done over the Red Raiders. Hopefully Bill Snyder is in the building tonight and if he is then the Wildcats will roll.
Recap: OKC -5.5, Suns +5.5, and Kansas State -1. Three more picks live from Gabagoool’s coming tonight @6 and those are all certified, guaranteed, winners. Good luck to all gambling tonight, let’s make some money.
The NBA report is back but going forward, the best picks will be on the Bro Bro Bro Bets show, posted on this site most days around 6 pm. It’s a little late, but you’ll still have an hour to throw in those bets. 7-1-1 between Bro Bro Bro Bets last night and we’ll do our best to keep the bets rolling. I got a few picks to go with the ones you’ll find on Bro Bro Bro tonight.
For starters, of course, I’ll be taking the Celtics -1.5 as we welcome the Raptors to town tonight. I’ve never thought there would be this type of hostility that’s been thrown around the Celtics locker room, but it’s probably more media propaganda than anything. There have been whispers about Dennis Smith Jr. being shopped for a point guard. Even though there isn’t one player I want to give up, Rozier for DSJ wouldn’t be the worst move for a Celtics team that has been a little off all year. I think it’s a terrible fit and the last thing we need is another great young guy we’ll have to pay but you’re an ass if you don’t imagine whatever players being shopped around the league landing on your own team. Don’t even get me started on Porzingis. Celtics -1.5 and this line will probably go up, Boston’s a tough place to play.
The next two picks that I’ll be taking (aside from the 3 that will be featured tonight on Bro Bro Bro Bets) are two dogs away from home. First, will be the Pelicans at +7 going into Golden State. Golden State is coming off an All Star Game performance, dropping 150 on the Nuggets in Denver. That sort of drop off from the Mile High city to the Bay Area is massive. That’s why I like the Pelicans +7 in Golden State tonight. Curry and KD probably housed a bottle of wine on the plane ride back while Tony Davis and the Pelicans were already in getting prepared for the Warriors. Take the +7 even if it is against Golden State but be careful of the over, 241 screwed me when the Pelicans played the Clippers. Which leads me to the Clippers hosting the Jazz tonight. The Jazz and Clippers both fascinate me cause I fee like Jazz should be better and the Clippers should be worse. With that being said, I’m going to last second switch from Jazz +1 to the over 224.5. It feels like the Clippers have gone over every home game except for when they played the Pelicans Monday. You could say that I’m discouraged but then you would be a liar. No discouragement. We march blindly into the gambling abyss everyday no matter what.
Recap: Celtics -1.5, Jazz/Clippers over 224.5, Pelicans +7. I like all three of these but I LOVE the picks that are given from Gabagoools tonight. Gorms, Digs, and myself have 9 more games to win money on. Good luck and check back in with Bro Bro Bro Bets right here at 6 for the rest of the bets on this hump day in January.
It’s always a good Monday when the Patriots handle little brother Philip Rivers and move on to the conference championship again. Pats @ Chiefs and even if it wasn’t ever fully set in stone, this seemed to be where all roads led to. With that being said, let’s get to the basketball that will be bounced tonight.
Speaking of big brother little brother, Celtics are heading to Brooklyn to take on the Nets tonight. Celtics are -4 at the Barclays Center and I love every point. It must be intimidating to look over and see two studs in Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum that should of been on their team. Too bad Danny Ainge cuckolded the Brooklyn Nets of their future by dishing Pierce and Garnett. The Nets have been surprisingly good this year, Jarret Allen being one of the guys that stands out the most as an up and coming big man in the NBA. That will take some time though, and the Celtics are great right now. Celtics -4 away and then the Raptors come to town Wednesday. Big game coming off the loss so look for the Celtics to pick it up tonight. If there are guys out, this spread will change but I’ll still take the C’s. Next, we have the man who goes harden the paint, yes, the Houston Rockets. Hard in, Harden, the pun is definitely there, don’t take that away from me. Seriously though, Grizzlies at Rockets and Houston is a six point favorite. I like Houston in games like this. Teams like the Grizzlies who have been good but aren’t completely there yet are teams James Harden and the boys eat for lunch. Jaren Jackson Jr. has been a massive under the radar stud for the Grizzlies in his rookie year but that’s not enough against the MVP.
The next team we’re taking tonight is the Utah Jazz -8. the Jazz have been getting in a rhythm as of late and have won their last 4 games in a row at home. Utah is a tough place to get wins in cause Mormons can scream and shout with some of the best. Donovan Mitchel has had a bit of a sophomore slump but a big part of growing up in the NBA is learning how to save your energy for the playoffs. When a team is only beating the Bulls by 8, you know they’re thinking about the late season push and not about the guy who bet them. Would be nice if they started considering people like us but I understand the winning aspect of it, I guess. Last, we have an over under coming to you from the West coast. My team from Sacramento, the Kings, are welcoming Dame Dolla and the Trail Blazers into town for a little Monday night basket show. I’m taking Blazers/Kings over 227 tonight and if there’s one thing you know, it’s how much I love those Sacramento overs. I do like the Kings -2.5 at home but I like the over here more because the Blazers could always steal one. If they do though, it’ll still have to be a points fest cause they’ll have to keep up with the Kings scoring attack. Points points points is the word in this one tonight and that’s what we’ll finish with to cap off the Monday.
Recap: Celtics -4, Kings/Blazers over 227, Houston -6, Jazz -8. In the college game we’ll rock with Indiana -2 and Maryland -3.5. Let’s get a good start to the week and make some money tonight.
Last night, the Celtics took my heart and soul and there will be a little time before I take the boys in green again. I’ll still bet on teams with green on their jerseys but I don’t wanna talk about it just yet.
Alright, fine, I’ll talk about the green jerseys. Bucks -5.5 in Washington and I’d take it if it were higher too. Giannis and the stag like animals made a tremendous statement in Houston the other night. Beating James Harden is a feat not done by many as of late and doing it in Texas is an even tougher task. The Wizards have come alive and even beat the Sixers the other night, but the Sixers are terrible away from home and the Wizards still aren’t good. Bucks cover the 5.5 with the Wizards hopefully blowing up their team soon, wouldn’t mind some Bradley Beal to the Celtics talk. Speaking of the Sixers, I love them tonight against a bottom five team in the Atlanta Hawks. As bad as the Sixers are away, they are one of the toughest teams to beat at home. They need a win tonight and the Hawks need to start losing a few more if they wanna have any shot at one of the three Duke superstars. Embiid will have himself a night in Philly after dropping a cool 30 and 15 to get the Sixers back in the win column.
The next two picks come from teams that are familiar to the NBA Friday pick selection. First, the team from the city of Indianapolis, the Pacers, are traveling to the city of New York. Not the Nets, but the ones who play in the Garden are their opponents. Pacers -9 @ Knicks cause the Pacers need a big win after getting swamped by the Celtics. Oladipo strikes me as a guy who loves to play in the big apple so expect a big night from him. The matchup to watch will be Kanter and Sabonis down low. The Pacers are weak down low without Myles Turner so they’ll need Sabonis to stand tall in there tonight. Last, James Harden and the Rockets took a tough loss to the man who will probably steal the MVP now. I expect a show from the Rockets tonight, especially when they go from playing one of the best teams to one of the worst in the Cavaliers. Cav’s come to town looking for a Travis Scott concert but all they will get is a 25 point loss to the Beard. Where is the Love? Still hurt, and I think the Cavs should think about moving Kevin Love to a team who may want him, Spurs perhaps.
Recap: Bucks -5.5, 76ers -12, Pacers -9, and Rockets -13.5. Those are the picks for tonight with some NFL coming tomorrow. Spoiler alert: I’m taking the Pat’s money line, nervous about the points though. Good luck to all, let’s make some money this weekend.
Last night was just another 2-3 shit show that nobody wants to be apart of. But whether we do good or terrible the night before, it doesn’t affect the greatness we gamble on tonight. It’s Wednesday so we’re getting wild with a few picks out of left field.
I got a couple wild picks to kick off our Wednesday. Now, I’ve always preached that every bet here is a winner. For wild pick Wednesday, all bets are off and there’s a chance some of these might not be untouchable locks. Don’t worry though, they are. The first official wild pick on this Wednesday comes from the the city of Portland. The Trail Blazers welcome the Bulls from Chicago and I like the Bulls +9.5. The Bulls have gotten a bad rap early but they can score it with some of the best. I like the over but I could see myself getting extra wild on Wednesday and might take the Bulls money line at +350. This second pick isn’t as wild but betting on the Pistons is something that is not advisable this year. I ate my words about the Lakers on Monday but tonight, Blake Griffin returns to Staples Center and puts on a show in his old arena. The Lakers got the big come from behind win so they are probably feeling a little satisfied now. Expect Blake to come in pissed off even if it isn’t against the Clippers. He’s just mad he doesn’t live in LA and the Lakers will have to face the wrath of him tonight. Pistons +1 to go with Bulls +9.5 for a couple WILD picks.
The next game we’re taking has to do with riding that hot hand of Harden. James Harden right now might be the best player in the NBA. I feel like Giannis has been the guy this season and there was a side conversation where everyone agreed it was his year but James Harden just doesn’t give a fuck. Why would he? Guy has been spitting fire all over the place and tonight he really solidifies himself against Giannis and the Bucks. Rockets at home against the Bucks and they are +1.5. Love this cause I know that Harden knows they aren’t the favorites tonight. He’ll take that personally and the Rockets will come out flying. Last wild pick tonight is a team we haven’t taken all year, a clear cut sign that these picks are truly wild. The Brooklyn Nets host the Atlanta Hawks and for the first time we’ll be betting on the Hawks at +9. They had a big game last night and even though there is usually a drop off I think they’ll be able to hang with the Nets. Jarret Allen will probably win Most Improved this year at the NBA awards (huge deal, lol), but Trae Young still has a case for Rookie of the Year if he can turn it on and hit a game winner or two. I didn’t really mean that, Luka will for sure be the ROY but for the case of betting on the Hawks, that’s what I’m going with.
Recap: Bulls +9.5, Pistons +1, Rockets +1.5, Hawks +9.5. All dogs tonight in a wild NBA slate and for college we’ll go with Kansas -6, Vermont -12.5. Vermont basketball? Must be a Wild Pick Wednesday. Good luck getting that balance looking green.
Last night we did the 50/50 split, not to mention the Clemson -5.5 and over that I said I was taking even though I ended up taking Bama. Nothing like second-guessing yourself and being wrong, it’s the best.
Never fear, we march on with our NBA games and attempt to stay hot as 2019 rolls on. Nothing says redemption like a Tuesday night slate that has an over/under set at exactly 230. We’ll start with that over as we travel to LA for a Hornets @ Clippers matchup. The Hornets can either put up 130 or mail it in and score 80 points while getting routed. I’m thinking tonight is a good ole fashioned shootout and even if I thought otherwise I’d be remiss to bet an under 230. Doc and his team of nurses will get the job done and put up a solid 123 so hopefully the Hornets can get at least 108 points on the board. The other over I like tonight is Hawks @ Raptors over 228.5. The Hawks haven’t had a big game in awhile and because Drake will be in attendance to see Trae Young, I’d assume there’s a points fest brewing up in Canada tonight. Raptors haven’t lost at home in quite some time and I don’t see why that would change tonight. Spread is set high at 14.5 and if the over/under goes down throughout the day I’d probably take the spread. That’s how you chalk up a spread just incase there’s an over/under change. Nothing like talking chalk, just the best.
The Thunder have been rocking and rolling as of late and they play the soft Minnesota T-Wolves team in Oklahoma tonight. Steven Adams must be Karl Anthony Towns’ biggest nightmare. Massive dude who could probably chop down trees for a living he’s so gritty. If KAT wasn’t playing basketball he’d be streaming on Twitch which is a great business but not even close on the scale of grit compared to chopping trees down. Coach Thibs got the boot which can sometimes rally a team but hopefully we get the KAT Minnesota team and not the D-Rose Minnesota team. D-Rose could be the best player in the NBA this year but that’s just what I’ve heard through the grapevine. The last game we’re going with is the team we bet against last night: the Denver Nuggets. Betting against James Harden right now is one of the worst things you could do. He’s too hot and you don’t bet against a rocket rising for the sun. Houston Rockets pun there, no big deal. But the Nuggets are going to Miami to play the Heat and I thin they bounce back after this loss. Heat are an East team and the Nuggets are one of the best teams in the West. Gotta ride with the Western Conference cause they’re so much better than the East. Nuggets +1 and that’s the best bet on the board for basketball tonight.
Recap: Hawks/Raptors over 228.5, Hornets/Clippers over 230, Thunder -8, Nuggets +1. College football is over and we have to prepare for basketball to be the only thing on tv for a little while. Late entry Iowa State -2.5 for the college game tonight but live and die with the Nuggets. Good luck to all trying to obtain the grain from their book master tonight.
Our weekend ended up being a good old fashioned 50/50 split between the plethora of games we were taking. The only reason it ended up in the positive was because of a Golden Tate touchdown at odds of +500. My normal rule for the player prop tab is to close the browser once you open it. However, when you take one for every playoff game you better take a prop for the last one too cause even if you’re 1/4 on them for the weekend you still end up on in the green. Let’s get to tonight.
Now, I always take the Celtics no matter what, but tonight against the Brooklyn Nets is a little different. The Nets are god awful on back to back games and they went to war yesterday against the Chicago Bulls. Celtics at home -9.5 is a lot but this Boston team has been hitting their stride and it’ll continue with the Nets. To think we got Tatum and Brown with the picks the Nets gave us. Classic cuckold by Danny Ainge just swindling everyone in the Nets front office. We’ll run the Nets out of the gym with or without Kyrie. Look for a full fledged blowout tonight at the Garden which will probably mean under city if you don’t want to take the -9.5. A much better game tonight is Nuggets @ Rockets. I don’t think anyone is slowing down James Harden right now and normally I like the Nuggets but only when they’re playing in Mile High. This game is in Houston and after that big Golden State win, the Rockets will keep rolling on. Look for James Harden to come through big again for his team and if they are losing at half big (again), double down and live bet the Rockets ML. Payout is big and will be a reason to keep watching.
The next two games we’re staying in the Western Conference. The other night I took the Sacramento Kings against the Golden State Warriors. I pinched myself multiple times, but I wasn’t dreaming. Naturally I turned in figuring I threw away 20 bucks, but when I awoke to a Kings cover, I knew these boys were for real. Kings are at home against the Magic who are coming off a back to back as well. Kings -5.5 and I never thought in my life I would feel so great about a Sacramento Kings team. The future is bright for Marv and De’Aaron and by future I mean tonight as the Kings win by at least 6. Next we go to the opposite side of this spread, +5.5. The Utah Jazz are coming off a Detroit game where Donovan put on a show to will the Jazz to victory. Tonight, they got Giannis and the Bucks in Milwaukee. I haven’t been a huge Bucks guy thus far and that may bite me in the ass, but I like Utah as the dogs tonight. 5.5 is a lot of points for a very solid Jazz team and I think they put up a good fight. With Gobert in the middle, lets hope the big man can slow down Giannis in the paint. If he can, look for Joe Ingles to be dropping buckets in the corner on the offensive end.
The small game known as the National Championship is tonight and although I’m a huge proponent on bet on the better team, I’m taking Clemson tonight. Dexter Lawrence should be playing but weed will be weed. Trevor Lawrence is the guy who comes in slinging and cements himself as the best QB in division 1 football. With that being said, Bama could win by a field goal and make this a National Championship to remember. Clemson +5.5 is too much and even though I might switch my pick right before game time, 5.5 is just too much for me right now.
Recap: Celtics -9.5, Rockets -1.5, Kings -5.5, Jazz +5.5, Clemson +5.5 (as of right now). It’s a new week so forget about what the bookie took from us last week, let’s win it back. Good luck to all tonight and think about a Renfrew touchdown or over catches to start off with in the player props column.
